Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I grew up with 4 younger siblings ranging from 4.5-14 years younger than me so I grew up helping care for and loving caring for babies and children. When I got older I worked with babies and young children and always felt passionate about the postpartum period. It intensified after having my own child. I helped several friends in various ways through their postpartum period. The work comes natural to me and I absolutely love taking care of women.
What led you to become a Doula?: I love and respect the sacredness of the postpartum period and want to help women during this time with whatever they may need. There is not another time like it, meeting and falling in love with your new baby.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
I’m a natural, I can easily juggle the demands, I am loving and caring, also adaptable. I am respectful of all parenting styles. I am easy to feel comfortable around and open up to.
