Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have a degree in Early Childhood and have spent many years working with children and young families. I have two grown children of my own and have always believed that parenting is one of the most rewarding jobs one can have.
What led you to become a Doula?: I have found having children to be a most profound gift and honor. The joy they bring is beyond any other relationship I have. Any change, however, brings along a transition time with challenges of its own. I have a strong desire to help support families as they begin forming that bond, helping to empower them in their new (or continuing) journey as mother, father or sibling.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
I have been told that I am a good listener who doesn’t judge when others share. Others have told me that I create an inviting atmosphere in my home where you can “come as you are.”
