Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and Yoga Instructor. My knowledge of anatomy, relaxation, breath control, and guidance are a great benefit to my presence in birth work.
What led you to become a Doula?: I have always had a deep passion for holistic health which led me to become a massage therapist and yoga instructor. Within these fields, my adoration for and amazement in pregnant clients grew and grew until I knew I needed to be involved in birth work and family support. Combining my skills of holistic relaxation and alternative medicine with the deeply educational and science based ProDoula curriculum, I feel confident in my ability to serve as a doula.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
I am often told that my presence is very calming. From my massage clients to my fiancé and friends, this comment seems to repeat itself. My intuition and ability to adapt to situations has often led me to be a constant source of support for those around me.
