Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I am a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in Child, Youth, and Family Studies and minors in Sociology and Psychology. In my 10 years of experience as a nanny caring for newborns and children of all ages, I discovered my passion for supporting families in the postpartum period and maximizing the first years of development. I have over 6 years of experience caring for newborns and multiples and assisting with feeding, diapering, building healthy sleep habits, and much more. Through this experience, I have learned how to be better attuned to the needs of an infant and how to best support the parents in this new chapter of their lives.
What led you to become a Doula?: I originally was pursuing a career as a Midwife because I love building strong personal relationships and believe pregnancy is an amazing gift. I stumbled upon work as a Postpartum and Infant Care Doula and it was a perfect fit. I absolutely love that I get to support and build relationships with parents, but also work closely with infants and use my education to help them thrive.
