Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I am interested in birth work because I believe that support through pregnancy, labor, and postpartum should be available to all populations of people. Currently, hiring a birth worker has the reputation of being only a luxury item. I understand that pregnancy does not only happen to the wealthy among us, so a birth worker should not only be accessible to the wealthy among us. I also hope to provide a perspective of birth work to those who might feel that they haven't seen or known of birth workers who might understand their life experience or perspective. The pregnant person and birth worker relationship is an intimate one, so having a birth worker that can relate to your life perspective is ideal. We ALL deserve access to someone who can help us through, what will likely be, one of the most beautifully challenging times of our lives!
