Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work:
What led you to become a Doula?: I was raised in New Hampshire, then moved to Boston for 5 years. I am happy to now call Harrisburg, North Carolina my home! I’m a wife and Mom of 2 beautiful girls. I gave birth to my oldest daughter at a birthing center and youngest in our home. I am so thankful to have had the amazing support of doulas during both of my birthing experiences. Helen was my doula for my second birth and told me years before, I was born to be a birth worker. My doulas really helped me and my husband through the whole process, giving us support and education as we wanted. I am certified through ProDoula. I would love to give your family non-judgmental support during your pregnancy and birth, wherever and however is right for your family! Prior to becoming a Doula, I have been a Speech Language Pathologist for almost 10 years! I also enjoy yoga, being outside and reading research articles (I’m a nerd at heart)!
