Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work:

What led you to become a Doula?: I was inspired to become a doula by my own journey to motherhood and passion to empower and educate women and expecting parents. My two pregnancies and birth experiences were very different, and through those, I am able to support woman, their partners and families during one of the most important and unique stages in their lives. During this time, I want to make sure expecting parents have evidence-based information, and a safe and supportive environment to grow and nurture their baby, are able to ask questions and make informed decisions, and trust their bodies to give birth the way they desire. I am passionate about advocating for birth equality and justice so everyone can experience the most satisfying and memorable birth possible. In the first weeks after the baby is born, I help parents transition to early parenthood, and nurture them for optimal health and bonding. In addition to my role as a Birth Doula, I am also a certified Lamaze Childbirth Educator and Yoga teacher. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Cultural Studies and Master's degree in Management and Social Entrepreneurship.
