Professional Lifetime Certification
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I focus on getting to know my clients well enough to be able to help them build their own toolbox in order to support the value system of their family. I like to start this process during the pre-natal period to make for a smooth transition once the postpartum time has arrived. It is my privilege to support all kinds of families. I am certified through ProDoula. I carry insurance and am CPR certified. I am committed to postpartum self-care for mothers. I grew up in Montclair New Jersey and currently reside in Bloomfield New Jersey with my husband, two children and dog. I hold a Bachelors degree from William Paterson University. I offer postpartum support both in person and virtually and I offer various packages as well. I teach Newborn Care classes, I am an Infant Feeding Specialist and Reiki healer. I offer bone broth deliveries for new mothers who are replenishing themselves from birth. Lastly, I also support families in times of bereavement and are grieving a loss in any capacity
What led you to become a Doula?: I was called to help other women so that they can have the best postpartum experience with their newborn and not struggle the way in which I did with my first child. It was not until my second child did I have a doula who was so helpful and compassionate to the needs of our family that I myself felt inspired to follow this beautiful path
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
Kelley has been instrumental in helping us to navigate the transition of being a family of 3 to a family of 4. She was able to stay with my newborn while I spent one on one time with my son and vice versa. Kelley was helpful in troubleshooting feeding and sleeping issues. Lastly, I struggled with postpartum depression and she was a comforting source of support. Any family would be lucky to have her in their home during that very sensitive and special time that some families cannot appreciate due to lack of support. With Kelley’s help and knowledge, we were able to appreciate this beautiful time in our lives!
