Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have 6 years of experience doing prenatal massage, and I'm planning on developing a continuing education course to help other massage therapists understand better how to support people throughout pregnancy.

What led you to become a Doula?: Throughout my time working with prenatal massage clients, I've learned how intimidating birth can be to people, especially first-time parents. My role is to offer non-judgmental support throughout your pregnancy, give you the resources you need to make informed decisions, and help you have the best experience possible.

What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:

Pregnancy can be so tough on the body and I struggled with intense hip discomfort during my third pregnancy. Luckily, I found Joy and her soothing hands! Her massages struck a perfect balance between being overall relaxing and focusing on my problem areas. I always leave her massages feeling relieved and relaxed.
