Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have an extensive background in Healthcare Administration working on various initiatives such as Medicaid, Medicare, and the Affordable Care Act. I have always been an advocate for working with underserved populations facing health disparities. These health disparities include Safe Sleep, care coordination, and management of healthcare services, insurance, and HIV education.
What led you to become a Doula?: Maya Angelou says "To be present in all things and thankful for all things." Here at Jendayi Doula Services, we are thankful for the new life that you are bringing into the world. Our goal is to ensure you feel empowered, encouraged, and a continuous source of comfort and support. We know that many families would love that extra support and that is what we are here to do.
