Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: My name is Tiara Benson I am a certified Labor Doula, Postpartum Doula and infant feeding Specialist. I currently work for Ashland Asante Birthing center as a Labor Doula. I have a passion for families seeking some extra support during their journey through birth, postpartum and infant feeding. I have 12 years in experience with children. I started off as a babysitter then moved on to be a nanny for two years. I have also worked for Ontrack at the Moms program. I have worked in medical care for around 10 years weaving in and out of different departments in medicine until I could work my way up into my dream career. My dream career is working as a Doula helping families during their intimate and special time of welcoming their new little one into the world and giving support to the birthing person and their family. I am so pleased to give my helping hand to my community. I look forward to meeting you.

What led you to become a Doula?: I have always loved working with families. I have had 12 years of experience helping all sorts of different different families in the community. I’ve been a babysitter, a Nanny and a professional teacher in a daycare setting.

What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
