Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I am a Certified Elite Labor Doula who is also a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW). I bring advanced skills in mental and emotional support along with physical support interventions and skills. Trained in Perinatal Grief & Loss and in Perinatal Mood Disorders, I am qualified to support families through the more difficult experiences in the perinatal period in addition to the joyful moments. Additionally, I am working on my certification for Postpartum & Infant Care as well as Childbirth Education. I look forward to providing a well-rounded array of services for my clients - a one-stop-shop for all the perinatal needs!
What led you to become a Doula?: In addition to my doula work, I also run the local Maternal Infant Health Program in my county where I provide support to pregnant persons and infants through the first year of life. This is an area of great passion for me. The perinatal period is such a unique time in one's life with many exciting and challenging components. I have a desire to walk alongside pregnant persons and their support people through each transition, regardless of if it is a first pregnancy, fifth pregnancy, or a pregnancy loss.
