Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I am passionate about birth work and have connected with midwives and doulas in different states. I had a homebirth myself and learned different techniques from Lamaze to Hypno birthing to get through my natural labor. Through my own studies and research, I am confident in my skills as a professional doula.
What led you to become a Doula?: Hearing stories of women who felt like they weren't in control of their labors and were ending in trauma pulled at my heart strings in a way nothing else did. Not every birth goes as planed but we can still have a say when we are given knowledge and options to choose from. I wanted to help women be back in control of their labors and have the births their bodies were truly capable of.
