Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I worked in childcare for 5 years before working as a doula. I have cared for children ranging from newborn to 4 year olds.

What led you to become a Doula?: The maternal mortality rate not only was alarming but infuriating to me. I don't have children but I wanted to be place of support and knowledge to new mothers and families as they prepare for their birthing experience to ensure they feel secure, informed, and empowered.

What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:

I am easy to talk to and I provide a different perspective that most people don’t think about. I am empathetic, quiet, and give great massages (despite not being a massage therapist).
