Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: 20 years in Early Childhood Education

What led you to become a Doula?: My personal postpartum experience left me feeling alone, depressed, and helpless. The first 6 months of "mom" life for me are filled with feelings of frustration, with a lack of care from medical professionals, and pressure from society to "bounce back". I have a desire to support birthing individuals and babies as they transition into this new way of life. My personal experience gives me a passionate drive to support families during postpartum.
