Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I am a mother of four. One was an emergency transfer to the hospital, where I had an epidural and he was born under the care of a physician. Three of which were birthed naturally at home. All of them were very different experiences as well as their feeding journeys and my postpartum period. I have worked in the medical field for 21 years. I now own my own business working as a Reiki Master, Foot Zone Restoration therapist, and Homeopathic educator. I have a passion for women empowerment and dedicate myself to helping women and mothers remember the strength, wisdom and spirit inside of them.

What led you to become a Doula?: I had serious challenges in my postpartum journeys and felt very alone and scared. It wasn't until I looked back and realized I was going through some common, but very real, experiences and they would have been helped or even avoided if I would have had support. I never want a woman to feel alone during that postpartum period. I love all things birth. The beauty and miracle of pregnancy and birth is dear to my heart. I struggled with infertility for years before giving birth to my 4 children and the journey to get them here started my passion for the prenatal to postpartum period of time.

What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:

They feel comfort around me. They feel strengthened and empowered after learning with me. They see a friend and confidant in me. I provide a nice, calming environment. I’m knowledgeable.
