Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have been told that I have a very kind heart and make people feel special. I love people and I love being able to support families in any way they need as they make their way into parenthood. It’s great to be able to mold to fit any role they need me to be for them. I have three daughters of my own and a lot of experience with trial and error as far as birth, breastfeeding and parenting go. I’m also a licensed massage therapist, so a great hand, foot, or shoulder massage during labor is guaranteed! Your newborn will love them also!
What led you to become a Doula?: Back in 1999 after the birth of my first daughter Murphy, I decided that I wanted to become a doula someday. I am finally in a season of my life that has allowed me to pursue my dream. I feel the uncontrollable pull to provide women and families in my community with professional and individualized support and encouragement to take part in their birth experience, no matter in which way they wanted to birth. I am confident and committed to providing families with premium, knowledgeable and unbiased support.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
I have been told that I am patient, compassionate, prompt, organized and professional. Someone recently told me that they admire how I raise my daughters to be kind, loving and accepting of others.
