Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have experience working as a CNA/PCA on reputable Postpartum unit here in Cincinnati. Followed by, I welcomed my first baby boy August 2023.
What led you to become a Doula?: When I had my son in August 2023, my birth plan and postpartum plan did not go as expected. When I had my son, I ended up having an unplanned C-section which caused great stress and sadness after which highly effected my mood those first 3 months of postpartum. There were so many things I was not educated on; options were not explained to me, and I believe if I had a doula by my side things would have gone differently or at the least, I would have felt more supported and heard. I did not have what some call a "village" and since having my son I found that taking care of the mothers and being that village, we all need, was my calling. I am truly passionate about helping moms during the most wonderful yet the hardest parts of their life as it is something we NEVER forget which is what led me to becoming a Doula.
