Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have valuable experience that qualifies me as a birth professional, including babysitting, nannying, working as a caretaker, and serving as a nursing assistant at a children's hospital. Additionally, I have extensive experience caring for babies within my own family and with my siblings.

What led you to become a Doula?: My own difficult birth experience paired with my innate passion for caretaking led me to helping parents become informed and confident during the perinatal period. Growing up, they called me the baby whisperer. I’ve always gravitated towards mothers and babies. This passion comes so naturally for me! I thought that would mean I’d have an easy experience having my own baby, but to my surprise, my birth was nothing like I dreamed it would be. I didn’t have the guidance, education and confidence I needed. This sparked me to dig deeper into my passion for mothers and babies by becoming a certified doula, newborn care specialist and lactation counselor for families in Simi Valley and surrounding areas! Outside of my role as a doula, I love spending time with my husband and daughter. I am a Christian believer and let God guide my path as I support families.
