Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I am a mother of 2 neurogidvergent children, one colicy with Autism and one with ADHD. I stuggled with my own pospartum experience, was 500 miles away from any family or friends, and had two children who never slept and my first had terrible colic! I remember how I wished someone would come and rescue me while I was drowning! I am grateful that the internet existed as it helped me to learn about how to survive. I read every book I could get my hands on and taught myself how to get through one of the most challenging times in my life. It was as if I was already preparing for my journey as a doula. I thought motherhood would be amazing and blissful, unfortunately I did not get that expeience. I know that if I had the support of a knowledgeable person like a postpartum doula I would have had a much better exprience.

What led you to become a Doula?: I have been a Postpartum Doula and NCS since 2018 and a Labor Doula since 2023. I have helped many families thrive while on their birth journey. I was called to this profession because of my own struggles and I want to help as many others and I can have success and feel empowered in their birth and postpartum experiences.
