Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: Morgan obtained her Bachelors of Social Work from the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY and her Masters of Social Work from the University of North Carolina. For the past 4 years, Morgan has worked with families, children birth-5, and the medical community in a variety of capacities as a professional social worker. As a trained social worker, and Christian, she utilizes her spiritual gifts and professional skillset to support women, partners, families, and children. Because she has been able to turn her passions and gifts into a career, Morgan never feels like she is actually doing work when supporting others as a doula or social worker.

What led you to become a Doula?: With the recent birth of her niece, Morgan was provided the opportunity to support her sister through pregnancy and birth. This experience, along with her faith, is what ignited the flame to pursue becoming a professional doula. Morgan is excited to provide physical, emotional, and educational support to families in the Triangle. Her approach to birth is free of judgment and focused on helping the laboring mother find the path that suits her needs. Morgan loves to empower women and their partners by helping them make educated choices and to rely on their own intuition during pregnancy, birth and life.
