Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: Alexis Christine Wild is a certified professional doula serving growing families in London, Ontario, through pregnancy, birth and postpartum. She also provides childbirth education both in person and online, as well as a unique Doula in Your Pocket virtual support program and Birth:Mansplained, a childbirth education class for dads.
What led you to become a Doula?: I have always been the person to drop off a hot meal when life is hectic, and supporting people during the transition times of life is a true honour. In 2014, I certified as a Sacred Pregnancy Instructor. I added Holistic Massage training to my skills shortly afterwards, and then came full circle to become a doula. I’m also trained in laughter yoga, reiki, and social work… anything that I feel curious about, I go for! I’m not your pink and blue, cutesy doula booking you in for one prenatal visit, one birth, one postpartum visit. You hire me… I’m yours. I provide decadent, over the top support to remind you of your power, your knowledge, your beauty; and I’m going to give you everything I’ve got! I’m your wild, cheering you on the at top of my lungs, holding your hair back while you puke, calling your bullshit doula. I know you can do this... and you CAN!
