Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: Welcome to Jersey Doula, LLC! My name is Alicia and I am a Certified Labor Doula and mom of 4. I’m excited to support you and your family as you welcome your child in whatever way you choose! My background includes being a former nursing student, Activity Director in a Long-Term Care Facility, and currently a mother of 4 children.
What led you to become a Doula?: I became interested in birth work because of my own experiences giving birth 4 times. I was drawn to childbirth and couldn't imagine not being involved in it, even though I wasn't personally giving birth anymore. I furthered my education and training through ProDoula and became a labor doula, so that way I can help support families in this exciting time of their lives! You will forever remember your birth and how you felt during birth. I want to help support you during this momentous experience.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
Well, I guess given that I was drawn into this work because I want to help fellow birthers, most people say that I was made for this! I have a calming demeanor, am encouraging, positive, gentle, and present. I truly want to be there for you and your family and support you the best way that I can.
