Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have worked with children and families for over 10 years in various capacities. I also have an extensive background in Early Childhood Education and Development focusing on ages birth to 5 years.
What led you to become a Doula?: I started my motherhood journey with the birth of my son in 2016. During my pregnancy there were tons of resources on what to expect and plenty of prenatal appointments. Once he was born all that support seemed to be so scattered that it felt really overwhelming and at times lonely. After my daughter was born, I had a similar experience. I wanted to be a part of a system that supports and empowers women throughout their journey through labor and in the postpartum period.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
People describe me as detail oriented and compassionate. Building and maintaining relationships is one of my strongest skills.
