Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have been a birth doula part time and a postpartum doula full time for many years starting in 2002. I have worked with clients of multiple backgrounds, circumstances and ethnicities and I provide care according to the preference of each individual client.
What led you to become a Doula?: My first experience with birth was during the birth of my nephew and it was the most amazing experience I’d ever been a part of at the time. I instantly fell in love with the beauty of childbirth and I love the rewarding feeling of helping a new parent cope with the birth process and parenthood.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
From a labor client that just had her 5th baby:
“I’ve had 4 babies without a doula and I have no idea how I did it without you and I’m never doing it again without you”
Delivery nurse: “you’re the nicest and best doula I’ve met at this hospitals”
Postpartum client: “I was so nervous this morning but I feel silly because you’re wonderful”
