Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: Before training as a labor and postpartum doula, I worked as a sexual assault victim advocate for 10 years. In my experience as a support person through the ups and downs of many people's lives I learned a number of priceless skills that I know will have countless benefits to me in my role as a doula. I look forward to being at the side's of both the birthing person and their family as they embark on this new adventure of parenthood.

What led you to become a Doula?: After a decade as a sexual assault victim advocate, I was feeling the need to take a break from that work to figure out how I could continue my service to others in a way that was a bit more positive in nature. After doing lots of reading on the value of doulas in people's lives and all of the positive outcomes that came from having one, I knew immediately that this was the path I wanted to take. I started my search for training, and the journey began!
