Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I attended my first birth 20 years ago, I was only 18. I personally have 7 children and every birth was different from natural to c-section and having twins. Each family's birthing experience is different and exciting! I have also been a pre-school teacher for 15 years!
What led you to become a Doula?: Well, 20 years ago I helped my ex mother-in-law in a very hard labor. I found that I loved being the support person and helping my father-in-law as they looked to me for support as I had my son 3 months earlier, and I was only 19! And I was hooked! It has been years and I have been the one my friends and family come to for all things birth related, honestly I love this calling!
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
My friends and family say that I am caring and giving and would do pretty much whatever I could if someone needed me. I am honest with my thoughts and actions. My best friend said that I am loyal ,reliable and crazy fun.
