Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: Babysitting and nannying were my first and favorite jobs. Being an aunt is the most rewarding job along with providing support to my friend's with kids as well. I believe my personality as a caregiver has prepared and shaped me into this profession.

What led you to become a Doula?: I've had a love for babies since I was a little girl, always wanting to "pet them" when I saw them. I entered college wanting to be a labor and deliver nurse but I ended up graduating with my degree in Hospitality. I managed events for my career but I knew it was just not where I was supposed to be and did not fulfill my life. When Covid hit, I was unfortunately laid off and I knew this was the perfect time for me to get back on the baby path. No matter what path I have taken in my life, I have come to realize that being a Doula is truly what I need to be doing.

What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:

I have been told that I am a good listener and give positive feedback to all conversations and situations. Others have said that I am a very calm individual who can think clearly with anything that is thrown at me.
