Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have been called a baby whisperer since I was 14 and have always enjoyed taking care of babies and children. After becoming a mother, I began supporting breastfeeding families and then moved into birth work to a love of helping families as they grow.
What led you to become a Doula?: In supporting breastfeeding families, I found great interest with the human body and it's ability to growth, birth and nourish a baby. The more I learned the more I was drawn to being a doula and helping families to bring their babies into the world the way they desire. I had an amazing doula for the birth of my daughter and wanted to be able to pass that on to other families.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
I have been told that I am passionate, loving, honest, knowledgeable and that I have an amazing way of working with mothers. As families grow, it is such precious time for them and should be supported with honor, kindness and gentleness. That is the heart of my work as a doula; to nurture this journey with grace and respect.
