Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I am a mother of five beautiful children. Two boys and two girls. I have personally experienced different types of births. Such as home births, water births, hospital birth even a cesarean birth. I have been a home maker for the past 15 years. I also operated a home daycare specials in newborns.
What led you to become a Doula?: I had my first child in a birthing center with a midwife and a doula. My experience was amazing. I gave birth with the same team a less than year later and it was also a good experience. When I would sit and listen to other women’s birth story. I noticed a lot of negativity and hearing them say they would never do it again. I thought to my self how could I help other women have a more positive birth experience as I did. That’s when I googled how to become a doula.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
People often tell me how caring and responsible I am. I am also told that I am very down to earth supper funny and very confident in the work that I do.
