Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have been babysitting since I was a young girl (age 10) : My 2 younger siblings, many younger cousins, friends’ children, and now my own son who was born in 2020. I am CPR/First aid certified, Spinning Babies certified, and OR certified at UNC Chapel Hill in NC. These certifications have helped me learn many new techniques to use during pregnancy, labor, and delivery for my clients. I also have a strong love for photography and love to take pictures for my clients. I was also a military wife for multiple years which helps me connect to my clients who are military affiliated and I can help guide them and offer resources for any questions they may have.

What led you to become a Doula?: I have always been fascinated by birth! Even as a young girl I would sit and watch birth stories on tv and loved it. I finally pursued my love for birth and all things babies after I had my son. I had the most empowering and wonderful birth experience and felt so strongly to help other women experience that same joy and empowerment in their birth!
