Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I graduated from Utah State University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies. My whole life I have worked with children, from babysitting to coaching gymnastics, and my education furthered my interest in how the family unit as a whole is impacted by a birth, and how each member of the family plays such a vital role in a baby's life.

What led you to become a Doula?: In my final few semesters of college, I decided to focus my attention on the perinatal period, and my eyes were opened to the lack of support and education available to new parents during the postpartum stage especially. I have always loved infants, and after spending several years studying relationships within families, I realized that by providing support to mothers and fathers during and after birth, I could help strengthen families and bring more joy into the home after a birth. When I learned about the job of a postpartum doula, I felt like I found my dream job!

What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:

Although I have yet to receive reviews from clients, those who I have helped in other capacities have said I am hardworking, loving, and make an effort to make them feel supported. Others have told me I am a great listener and am uplifting to be around.
