Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I was the little girl that always dreamed of being a mommy, and loved being a listening ear to those around me. I've had a passion for leading and teaching others in an effort to help in any way I could. As my own family grew (7 children), so did my love and passion for all things pregnancy and parenting. I connected with moms and naturally gravitated to talk of where we were in life at any given time. I have personally experienced birth in every form - medicated and unmedicated; vaginal and cesarean. I have a strong passion for helping mothers find the strength to face one of the most challenging and rewarding moment of their lives. Having already participated in a successful business startup it was a natural next step to turn my passion for all things birth related into a business. I've been moving toward this amazing career since childhood.

What led you to become a Doula?: I have unofficially done labor doula support since 2007 and education since 2005. With the push from friends and family and the amazing inspiration of ProDoula's education, I knew that 2023 was the year to make my dream of a doula career official.
