Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I've worked with families for over 10 years. I started as an infant teacher in a daycare and did that for 4 years. I nannied for families and then decided to run a home daycare.

What led you to become a Doula?: As much as I loved teaching infants and toddlers, I enjoyed my relationships with the families where we were a team, tackling issues that arose and celebrating the wins of their little ones. When I learned what a doula was I realized that I have been a doula for a long time. I believe that I could make more of an impact working directly with families, supporting them through what could be the most challenging part of their lives. I believe the first 40 days of birthing a child is the most important part of becoming a parent. When families are getting the support they need, they get to be present with their newborn, bond and heal.
