Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have served many communities across the country and overseas in the area of Early Childhood Education. I have a BS in Psychology and Early Childhood Education teaching certificate and a MA in Curriculum and Instruction. I am a mom to four children and want to equip families with tools that will enable them to have the best prenatal, labor, birth and postpartum experiences.

What led you to become a Doula?: After dealing with postpartum depression for many years and not knowing the resources that were available to me in my community and seeing the alarming rates of black maternal deaths in my state and also seeing the increasing reports of postpartum mood and anxiety disorders diagnosed in my community, I wanted to find a way to bridge that gap for any birthing person that I could
