Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I began to gain knowledge and experience by being a mentor and support person to my friends and family as they experienced pregnancy, birth and parenthood. I am constantly reading, learning and discussing ways I can better support families during this time.

What led you to become a Doula?: I’m a mother to 3 beautiful sons, but my love for caring for others came long before that. I have always felt a pull to making genuine connections and supporting people in any capacity. After the birth of our first child, I fell in love with all things pregnancy, birth, and infant feeding. I would (and still) talk “baby” to anyone interested in conversing. After the birth of our second child, I knew doula-life was the path for me. My commitment and joy for this work grows every single day.

What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:

My family say I’m nurturing and kind. My friends say I’m easy to talk to and that I have a positive energy. My colleagues say I’m joyful, passionate and driven.
