Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have always loved caring for and connecting with others. I have worked as a Teacher, a Veterinary Technician, and a Clinical Project Manager, and I served as the Board Chair for a local non-profit that exists to connect, inform, and empower parents by facilitating inclusive, research based, non-judgmental, sustainable support programs. I completed certification through ProDoula as a Postpartum and Infant Care Doula, and I am currently working to obtain ProDoula's Labor Doula certification. I have a great deal of experience with baby soothing, sleep shaping, and infant feeding as well as supporting new parents.
What led you to become a Doula?: When I was a new mother, I experienced feelings of fear, insecurity, and isolation with my pregnancy, birth, and new parent journey. Because of this, I made it my mission to provide judgment-free support to my friends and family during the early parenting stage before I even knew what a doula was!
