Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: In addition to being a certified labor doula, I am also a licensed cosmetologist and makeup artist. I am very familiar with the power of touch and am accustomed to working with people in an intimate capacity. I believe my prior career has heightened my sensitivity to the needs of others!

What led you to become a Doula?: I have always enjoyed people and the intimate nature of my prior career. When I became pregnant, I became fascinated with pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. After working with a doula for my own birth and experiencing the power that it brought into my birthing space first hand, I knew that this would be a fulfilling career path for myself. Working in the birth world has truly connected my skill set of having empathy and compassion for others and my love for the informational side of birth work.

What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:

I would say that the most often received comments that I have heard about myself is that I am very caring, empathetic, and enthusiastic.
