Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have been a labor/postpartum nurse for the past 10 years. After struggling with the challenges of having twins of my own, I became passionate about helping new families expecting twins. I love to educate families in being most efficient with twins and ways to tandem feed (whether chest or bottle feeding). I am on the board for our local families of multiples support group, and I truly love interacting with these families!
What led you to become a Doula?: I have always loved caring for babies! From a very early age, I was drawn to infants, and loved figuring out how to sooth them on my own. Working as a labor nurse led to my passion to help birth givers find their inner strength. My passion is now helping care givers not only survive, but thrive in the newborn phase.
