Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: Having grown up surrounded by babies, I have always been in a constant state of "mom mode" throughout my childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. Being around infants and moms in the fourth trimester has always felt very innate and natural to me. Having two daughters and going through very different births only heightened my love and passion for this line of work!

What led you to become a Doula?: For as long as I can remember I have always had such an interest in labor, the birthing process and the postpartum period. I have always been fascinated with the transformation of a woman's body throughout pregnancy and the strength it takes to bring a baby into this world. After having my first daughter I developed a much deeper appreciation for birth. Instantly I knew that my passion lies with helping women navigate this crazy, emotional and beautiful time called pregnancy, labor and postpartum. I want to make not only the woman, but the birthing family feel educated, supported and prepared for whatever birth plan you choose to have.
