Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: Hi! I'm Jenn - a labor doula, L&D Nurse, and host of "What The Bump" podcast. I truly believe every mama deserves to have an informed pregnancy and birth where they feel empowered to make the decisions they choose, not ones chosen for them!
What led you to become a Doula?: As a Labor and Delivery Nurse I only get to see my patients for one shift, and then normally never see them again. I bonded with so many amazing women and was by their side through the toughest yet most beautiful experience of their lives, and after my shift I wouldn't see them again. I have longed for a place in this field where I get to follow women THROUGHOUT their pregnancies and into the postpartum period. I want to a solid resource, friend, and support person in every stage of pregnancy, not just one short shift!
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
I am very passionate and very people centered. I will do anything I need to in order to make someone feel loved and cared for. I have a servants heart that longs to care for women in.
