Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: My experiences serving families began as a young girl babysitting with my first CPR class at 13 years old. My college focus was early childhood education education. I have assisted in the births of friends, worked as a teacher in a nursery, mentored women, and become a mother myself. I have taken a course with an IBCLC to properly assist clients with breastfeeding challenges and a class for pumping. I am a trained labor doula, postpartum doula, and infant care specialist.
What led you to become a Doula?: I have always had a passion for seeing parents smiling, babies laughing and comforted, and bringing the calm where there is fear. Growing your family is a huge decision and I'm here to assist families so they can feel confident in their roles!
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
Others would describe me as calm, warm, welcoming, a good listener, and “so chill”. If you knew my inner thought life, you would know the “so chill” comment is a result of working diligently on myself, and it not a natural faculty. I have heard a lot of “Thank you so much. You have helped me so much.” and they are always special to me every sing single time.
