Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I am a mom of three who became a doula after almost 10 years as a nuclear engineer. I love how my new career allows me to help others and directly support them through one of life’s biggest changes. I am also a Certified Lactation Counselor, which allows me to provide additional assistance to my clients when feeding their babies. I support breast/chest feeding, exclusive pumping, formula feeding, and everything in between!

What led you to become a Doula?: I became interested in being a birth professional after seeing how little support new parents received when adding a baby to their family. I wanted to help change that.

What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:

Katie is wonderful, patient, and caring. She listens to everything you say, and makes sure to follow up on it on subsequent visits. She remembered when I went to appointments and followed up with those as well. She tailored her antepartum visits toward my post partum goals. I really appreciate the time she took with me!
