Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I am the oldest of 5 with the largest age gap being 18 years between me and the youngest, so I was able to witness the full impact of this transition on multiple occasions.
What led you to become a Doula?: My passion for birth work comes from being a black woman trying to navigate the healthcare system as well as being a wife to someone with Cerebral Palsy. While black and native laboring people statistically face more complications from and after labor, the inflexible nature of the healthcare system impacts ALL of us.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
I am naturally intuitive. I love making others laugh. I will always jump at the opportunity to do something different and fun.
