Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: Prior to my work as a postpartum doula, I worked for over 10 years in the field of traumatic brain injury rehabilitation. This intense and rewarding work allowed me to gain experience with all different walks of life and abilities. I am a skilled communicator and gifted at making complex things easier to understand. After growing my own family and falling in love with all the birth and postpartum field of work, I decided to become a Certified Infant and Child Sleep Consultant and Postpartum and Infant Care doula. I am compassionate and empathetic and desire to make the postpartum period as satisfying as possible.

What led you to become a Doula?: My 3 children were all so different as babies (still are!). I became fascinated with baby sleep, postpartum recovery, and the "pull up your bootstraps" culture/mentality that doesn't serve new mothers well. I became interested in helping new mothers have a smoother postpartum period after having and experiencing my own children.
