Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I trained in 2017 as a Labor Doula and continued my education through workshops with Ina May Gaskin, Miscarriage, Stillbirth and Infant Loss Doula training, and a variety of childbirth education methods.
What led you to become a Doula?: I can remember as a young woman my mother being very interested in the biological aspects of the creation of humans. She would explain the hormones to me and draw diagrams of a uterus. Later in life, I met a Doula and couldn't shake the concept of work. I contacted her a few weeks after meeting her to learn more about how I could become a Doula.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
From a previous client: “You still to this day mean so much to us and are one of the reasons I decided to pursue Doula work! We actually joked about flying you out (overseas) for our second because we loved you so much!”
From an OBGYN: “We love having you in the OR during cesareans!”
