Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: Prior to becoming a labor doula, I worked in healthcare for 10 years. My experience working with medical professionals equips me with the ability to establish rapport with the medical staff in the hospitals as well as with the midwives in the birth center and home birth settings. My healthcare experience has also given me a lot of medical knowledge which will aid in providing detailed information to my birth families so they can feel empowered to make informed decisions.
What led you to become a Doula?: The birth of my daughter was such a beautiful and incredible experience for me. The support that I received from my husband and the midwives was so encouraging and motivating. My labor made me realize that I wanted to help Mamas be able to love their birth no matter what the circumstances are surrounding it. There is nothing like pregnancy, labor, and the birth of your baby!
