Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: As a licensed mental health counselor for over 35 years, I have been working with families to support healthy attachment as well as trauma sensitive parent guidance. I have been focused on the perinatal period and early childhood development for over 20 years and feel I can provide thoughtful, supportive care particularly to families at risk for PMADS (Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders).
What led you to become a Doula?: As a child and family therapist in my later years, I appreciate the opportunity to provide a more "hand on" approach to supporting families.
