Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: 30 years of professional Newborn Care experience. Postpartum Doula and infant Doula experience. Newborn Care specialist education and training certificate. Breastfeeding peer counseling education. Infant feeding education and training certificate.
What led you to become a Doula?: My passion with helping birthing parents care for their babies started early in life. As a young girl, I worked in infant care centers. In college, I studied Child Development. When I started my own family, I opened an in home infant Daycare which I ran for over 10 years. Later, I enjoyed being a professional infant nanny for many years. Now I am enjoying being a Postpartum Doula and Infant Care Doula!
