Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have been a member of the birth community for 21 years, with 19 of those as a labor and delivery nurse, and 3 as a birth photographer. You could say I love all things birth! I am excited to be welcomed into my client's birth space in my current roles as a labor doula and birth photographer. I have immense respect for the birth space and the intimate and life-changing nature of birth.

What led you to become a Doula?: I delivered my first of four children at the age of 19 when I experienced a traumatic birth that shaped my view of birth as a whole. With the birth of my third child (a stillborn baby girl), I had a birth team that empowered, supported, and held me. It was through this birth I experienced how a supported and empowered birth could feel, shaping and altering the trajectory of my life. I became a labor and delivery nurse in my deep desire to support and empower families during their birth. I believe each birth story is unique and beautiful.
